Where we win
Three reasons hosts move from goGuidebook
You can start without paying
goGuidebook has no free tier. Their 14-day trial unlocks every feature, but at day fifteen you're paying or gone. GuestIntro's free plan runs one property indefinitely. It's a real plan rather than a countdown: six sections, two languages, no AI chatbot and no PDF export, but no expiry and nothing advertised to your guests.
Guests get answers at 11pm
goGuidebook's feature list covers maps, weather, search, analytics and scheduled invites, but no AI. GuestIntro includes an AI chatbot on every paid tier, trained on your property's information, answering in all ten languages with no message limits. A guidebook answers the questions you predicted. A chatbot answers the ones you didn't.
Four or more properties cost less
goGuidebook adds $48 a year for each guide after the first. GuestIntro sells flat tiers, so anything from two to five properties is $204 a year. That crosses over at the fourth property: $234 with goGuidebook against our $204, widening to $282 at five. Up to ten properties, our top tier is $300 a year all in.
Where they win
When you should pick goGuidebook instead
Three cases, and in each of them we'd genuinely tell you to go with goGuidebook.
You want invites sent from your PMS
goGuidebook connects through Zapier and an API, and names Guesty, Hostaway, Lodgify, Cloudbeds and BookingSync as examples. A new reservation can trigger an email or text invite a set number of days before arrival, with a link that expires after checkout. GuestIntro has no PMS connection at all, so you send the link yourself.
You have two or three properties
Their per-guide pricing is cheap at the low end. Two guides are $138 a year and three are $186, both under our $204 tier. If your portfolio is going to stay at that size and you don't need the AI chatbot, goGuidebook costs less.
You manage guides for clients
For a one-off $99, goGuidebook removes its own name from guest-facing guides and lets you brand them as yours, and $149 adds your own domain. Sub-users can be given access per guide. We don't offer white labelling, so agencies and management companies are better served there.
One thing to check either way: goGuidebook can ask guests for their name, email and phone number before they see the guide. That's useful if you want the contact list, and a hurdle if you just want the WiFi password found quickly. GuestIntro manuals open straight from the link.

Common questions
- Is there a free alternative to goGuidebook?
- GuestIntro's free plan covers one property indefinitely with no credit card and no trial countdown. It's capped at six sections and two languages, and leaves out the AI chatbot and PDF export. goGuidebook has no free tier, only a 14-day trial with every feature unlocked.
- How much does goGuidebook cost?
- They charge per guide. The first guide is $7.50 a month billed yearly, or $8.99 billed monthly. Guides two to five are $4 each a month billed yearly, or $5.99 monthly. From the sixth guide the price drops again, but it's only shown through a calculator on their pricing page. White labelling is a $99 one-off, or $149 with your own domain.
- Which is cheaper, goGuidebook or GuestIntro?
- It depends on how many properties you have. For one property GuestIntro is free, or $84 a year against goGuidebook's $90. At two and three properties goGuidebook is cheaper: $138 and $186 a year against our $204. From four properties GuestIntro's flat tier wins, and at five it's $204 against $282.
- Does goGuidebook have an AI chatbot?
- Not that we could find. goGuidebook's features page lists maps, weather, search, analytics and invites, but no AI guest chat and no AI writing help. GuestIntro includes an AI chatbot on every paid tier that answers guest questions from your property information, in all ten languages, with no message limits.
- Can I switch from goGuidebook to GuestIntro?
- There's no automated import, so it means copying content across. A single property usually takes under an hour. Build the new manual while your goGuidebook guide stays live, then swap the link and QR code in your booking messages once you're happy.
