Looking for a Guidey alternative? Try GuestIntro
Guidey is a good guidebook app, and on one measure it beats us outright. If you're looking for a Guidey alternative because you want to start free, want an AI chatbot answering guest questions, or have several properties and dislike watching the bill climb with each one, GuestIntro is worth a look.

Where we win
Three reasons hosts move from Guidey
You can start without paying
Guidey has no free tier. Their 14-day trial is generous, needs no card, and includes everything, but at day fifteen you're either paying or gone. GuestIntro's free plan runs one property indefinitely. It's a real plan rather than a countdown: six sections, two languages, no AI chatbot and no PDF export, but no expiry and nothing advertised to your guests.
Your bill stops climbing
Guidey prices per property on a sliding scale with no cap. One property is $89 a year, ten is $421. GuestIntro sells three flat tiers, so ten properties is $300 a year and adding your fourth or seventh listing changes nothing on the invoice. Between two and ten properties we're meaningfully cheaper. Below two it's near enough a wash, and above ten we don't compete at all.
Guests get answers at 11pm
This is the biggest functional gap. Guidey advertises no AI features beyond Google's translation engine. GuestIntro includes an AI chatbot on every paid tier, trained on your property's information, answering in all nine languages with no message limits. A guidebook answers the questions you predicted. A chatbot answers the ones you didn't.
Where they win
When you should pick Guidey instead
Two cases, and in both of them we'd genuinely tell you to go with Guidey.
Your guests speak more than nine languages
Guidey covers 110 languages automatically, and lets you override individual strings by hand while the rest stay machine-translated. That combination is better than anything else in this category, ours included. We cover nine languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese and Japanese. If you host Korean, Polish or Arabic-speaking guests, we don't serve them and Guidey does.
You have more than ten properties
Our largest tier stops at ten. Guidey's slider runs to 200, and their effective rate falls as you scale, down to about $2.09 per property per month at a hundred listings. A growing portfolio outgrows GuestIntro and doesn't outgrow Guidey.
Worth knowing either way: neither tool has PMS integrations. Neither Guidey nor GuestIntro syncs with Hostaway, Guesty or OwnerRez, so guide links are sent manually in both. If that matters, look at Touch Stay and the wider field instead.

Common questions
- Is there a free alternative to Guidey?
- GuestIntro's free plan covers one property indefinitely with no credit card and no trial countdown. It's capped at six sections and two languages, and leaves out the AI chatbot and PDF export. Guidey has no free tier at all, only a 14-day trial, though that trial also needs no card and includes every feature.
- How much does Guidey cost?
- One property is $8.99 a month, or $89 a year. Five properties are $242 a year, ten are $421, and the slider runs to 200 properties. Prices are published in US dollars, pounds, euros and Australian dollars. The $7.42 figure on their site is the annual price divided by twelve rather than a monthly rate you can pay.
- Which has better language support?
- Guidey, clearly. They run 110 languages through Google's neural translation and let you hand-write custom translations for individual items, mixing both in one guidebook. GuestIntro covers nine languages automatically: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese and Japanese. If your guests speak anything outside those nine, Guidey is the better tool and we'd rather you knew that now.
- Does Guidey have an AI chatbot?
- No. Guidey advertises no AI features beyond using Google's translation engine — no AI guest chat and no AI content generation. GuestIntro includes an AI chatbot on every paid tier that answers guest questions from your property information, in all nine languages, with no message limits.
- Can I switch from Guidey to GuestIntro?
- There's no automated import, so it means copying content across. Guidebook content is mostly short fields, so a single property usually takes under an hour. Build the new one while your Guidey guide stays live, then swap the link and QR code in your Airbnb messages once you're happy.
