Your guests don't all read English

This is the decisive one. RueBaRue's own FAQ says their Guest Guides support English only, with other languages something they may consider in future. No automatic translation, no manual translation. GuestIntro translates your manual into nine languages automatically, and the AI chatbot answers in all of them. For a European host, or anyone whose guests arrive from more than one country, that's not a nice-to-have.

RueBaRue publishes no prices. All four plans route to "get custom quote" and a 30-minute demo. That's a legitimate way to sell to management companies, and a frustrating one if you just want to know whether it's worth your afternoon. Our prices are on our pricing page: free for one property, $6.99 a month billed yearly for one, $16.99 for up to five, $24.99 for up to ten.

You have fewer than two properties

RueBaRue's unit minimums are two for Guest Guides and Operations, three for Messaging. A single-property owner isn't their customer, and the sales process will make that clear. GuestIntro starts at one property, free, with no call.

We're not a replacement for most of what they sell, and it's worth being blunt about the gap.

You need operations, not just a guidebook

RueBaRue bundles housekeeping and maintenance scheduling, inspections, work orders, checklists and field-team mobile access alongside the guest guide. It also handles SMS automation, a unified inbox covering guests, owners and vendors, guest surveys, and smart lock codes that expire per reservation through Seam. GuestIntro does none of that. If you're currently running four systems and want one, we're not the answer.

You're on a supported PMS

Twelve integrations including Guesty, Hostaway, Hospitable, OwnerRez, Streamline and Track, with free setup and onboarding, and guides that populate from reservation data. GuestIntro has no PMS integrations, so links go out manually.

You run a US or Canadian management company

Dedicated text numbers work in the US and Canada, and guest texting is the centre of their product. If you're in that market at ten or more units, the consolidation argument is real and the demo is probably worth your time.

One cost to factor in either way: RueBaRue charges 4.99% on guest add-on purchases, stacked on top of Stripe's own fees.

How much does RueBaRue cost?

They don't say. All four plans — Guest Guides, Messaging, Operations and Bundle — route to a "get custom quote" button and a demo booking. No figure appears anywhere on their pricing page. They do publish some terms: no setup or integration fees, free onboarding and training, a 14-day trial with no credit card, and no long-term contract. You'll find per-unit prices quoted on review aggregators, but those conflict with each other and we won't repeat them as fact.

Does RueBaRue support other languages?

No. Their own FAQ states that Guest Guides support English only, with additional languages something they "may consider" in future. There's no automatic translation and no manual translation. If any meaningful share of your guests don't read English, this is the clearest reason to look elsewhere.

Can I use RueBaRue outside the US?

Partly. Dedicated text numbers are available in the United States and Canada only, which disables the guest-messaging feature the platform is built around. Texting to international guest numbers works fine once you have a sending number — the restriction is on the manager's number, not the guest's. Their terms also state they make no warranty that all features are available outside the United States.

Is there a RueBaRue alternative for a single property?

RueBaRue requires a minimum of two units for Guest Guides and Operations, and three for Messaging, so a single-property owner isn't really their customer. GuestIntro's free plan covers one property indefinitely, and paid tiers start at one property.

What does GuestIntro not do that RueBaRue does?

Quite a lot. No SMS automation, no housekeeping or maintenance module, no work orders or inspections, no smart lock integration, no guest surveys, and no PMS integrations. RueBaRue is a guest operations platform; GuestIntro is a guest manual with an AI chatbot. If you need the operations side, we're not a replacement.
