Looking for a StayFi alternative? It depends what you need it for
StayFi and GuestIntro mostly do different jobs. StayFi turns your WiFi into a guest marketing list. GuestIntro is the guide guests read during their stay. If you looked at StayFi mainly for a polished guest-facing page and don't need the hardware or the marketing, GuestIntro is worth a look.

Where we win
Three reasons to pick GuestIntro
There's a guide, not a link to one
StayFi's guest HomePage has a guidebook button, but it opens a guide hosted somewhere else. You still need Touch Stay, Hostfully or similar to write it. GuestIntro is that guide: WiFi, house rules, check-in steps, appliances and local recommendations in one place, translated into ten languages.
No hardware, no per-device bill
StayFi needs a StayFi Express on a compatible mesh network, or its own access points, and charges monthly for each billable device. A single-device property is $228 a year plus at least $99 up front. GuestIntro is a link and a QR code, free for one property or $84 a year with the AI chatbot and PDF export.
Guests get answers at 11pm
StayFi has no AI guest chat of its own. GuestIntro includes an AI chatbot on every paid tier, trained on your property's information and answering in all ten languages with no message limits.
Where they win
When you should pick StayFi instead
If any of these is the reason you looked at StayFi, we're not a replacement for it.
You want every guest's email address
StayFi's WiFi login captures verified emails from every guest who connects, not only the person who booked, with opt-in wording you can edit for GDPR and CAN-SPAM. GuestIntro has no login step and doesn't build a marketing list from your guests.
You plan to market for repeat bookings
StayFi bundles a guest CRM, automated email and SMS journeys, review requests and a book-direct listing site called Stayfinder. It also connects to 23 property management systems and the main email platforms. We have no marketing tools and no PMS integrations.
You want to manage the WiFi itself
Outage and occupancy alerts and automatic connection for smart devices come with StayFi's hardware. A guest manual can tell guests the WiFi password, but it can't tell you the router's gone down.

Common questions
- Is StayFi a digital guidebook?
- Not really. StayFi's core product is a branded WiFi login page that captures verified guest emails, feeding an email and SMS marketing platform. Guests see a StayFi HomePage after logging in, and its guidebook button links out to a guide you build elsewhere. StayFi lists Touch Stay, Hostfully and Folio as guidebook integrations.
- How much does StayFi cost?
- StayFi charges per billable WiFi device per month, starting at $19 for one device and falling with volume to $4.25 at 1,000 or more. A property with several access points pays for each. Hardware is a one-off cost: $99 for StayFi Express on an existing mesh network, or $139 and up for their own access points. Email marketing is free up to 200 contacts while you keep an active device, then priced by contact count.
- Do I need special hardware for StayFi?
- Yes. StayFi works through either a StayFi Express device added to a compatible eero, TP-Link Deco or Omada, or Aruba network, or through their pre-programmed Aginet or UniFi access points. GuestIntro needs no hardware. Guests open the manual from a link or QR code on any phone.
- Can I use StayFi and GuestIntro together?
- Yes, and for many hosts that's the right answer. StayFi collects guest emails and runs marketing. GuestIntro is the guide guests read during the stay. Paste your GuestIntro manual link into StayFi's HomePage guidebook button and guests land on it straight after connecting to WiFi.
- What's a cheaper way to share WiFi details with guests?
- If you only want guests connected quickly and don't need their email addresses, a WiFi QR code does it for nothing. Our free WiFi QR code generator makes one in seconds with no signup, and GuestIntro's free guest manual plan can hold the code alongside your house rules and check-in steps.
Only after a quick way to get guests online? The free WiFi QR code generator makes a printable code in seconds. Comparing guidebook tools instead? Our round-up of the best Touch Stay alternatives covers the main options, and everything else is on the alternatives hub.
